Short description | A virtual tour around the Castle of Monzón |
Long description | The castle is a military fortress with 10 centuries of history and is considered a national historical monument. They have created an experience that transfers every element of the fortress from the real world to the virtual world by modelling it in high-quality 3D. This allows anyone to explore every corner of the fortress and discover the history of the monument from the comfort of their computer at home. The website offers everyone the opportunity to create a personalised avatar, which then takes a full tour of the castle so that one can visit it as if one was there in person. The idea is that anyone can visit this place from home without spending extra money on the tour. This means that even people who are unable to travel for different reasons have the opportunity to visit this place. The experience has been created in website format, which means one can access it from a computer. An additional element is that the virtual tour allows the user to interact with the other visitors, using their own voice via a microphone or text chat and moving freely around the castle thanks to the use of virtual avatars. In this way, everyone could enjoy the virtual tour as they wished, going through the different rooms in the order that interested them most and looking at each detail for as long as they felt necessary. |
