Local Dissemination Event in Reus

In the second week of November, DomSpain organised a local dissemination event for the SMART Inclusion project at Espai Boule in Reus. The meeting brought together more than 20 local tourism professionals, educators, SMEs, and representatives from public institutions, all interested in exploring how digital tools can support more inclusive and sustainable tourism destinations.

The session introduced the project’s objectives, key results achieved so far, and the tools being developed to promote SMART and inclusive tourism practices. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the SMART Inclusive Toolkit, the upcoming Guide, and the national and international webinars planned within the project.

A presentation was followed by an open dialogue with stakeholders from the local tourism ecosystem, who shared their experiences and challenges related to accessibility, digitalisation, and sustainability in the sector. The atmosphere was highly participatory, and attendees expressed strong interest in adopting the forthcoming tools and resources in their organisations.

The event concluded with a networking session, allowing participants to connect with one another and identify possible collaborations beyond the project framework. Feedback was very positive, highlighting the relevance of the project for local needs and the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation between tourism professionals and digital inclusion initiatives.

Overall, the dissemination event in Espai Boule was a great success, reinforcing the visibility of SMART Inclusion at the local level and contributing to the project’s broader impact across the participating regions.
