The final in-person meeting of the SMART II project took place in Greece on June 5\u20136, 2025, bringing together representatives from DomSpain, EURAKOM, and Green Village. Hosted under the theme \u201cCapacity Building for SMART Tourism and Inclusive Destinations,\u201d the meeting marked an important step toward completing the project\u2019s key activities and ensuring the sustainability of its results.<\/span><\/p>

DomSpain opened the meeting by welcoming all partners and setting the stage for two days of focused collaboration. Discussions centered on the progress of workshops, the completion of the SMART Guide, and ongoing dissemination activities.<\/span><\/p>

Green Village presented its plans for two upcoming workshops that will combine international and local participants. These sessions aim to demonstrate how cooperation is structured within the SMART Inclusion programme. DomSpain, which had already completed its two workshops in Reus, shared insights and experiences to help enhance the next sessions. Green Village also committed to delivering a comprehensive set of guidelines to support workshop preparation, including key performance indicators, partner roles, templates, and participant questionnaires.<\/span><\/p>

The SMART Guide\u2014a central outcome of the project\u2014has now been fully revised following feedback from all partners. Translation into multiple languages will begin once EURAKOM finalises its review, ensuring accessibility for a broader European audience.<\/span><\/p>

The meeting also addressed the project\u2019s dissemination and visibility efforts. Partners agreed to publish new content on the SMART II website, focusing on the workshops section. This will feature detailed descriptions, photos, and testimonials from participants to capture the atmosphere and practical impact of the sessions. Each partner will also update their own organisation\u2019s website to highlight the project, using a unified description and links to the main SMART Inclusion portal.<\/span><\/p>

This phase of the project is particularly relevant for professionals and communities working in the tourism sector. By promoting inclusive practices and digital innovation, SMART II helps destinations become more welcoming, sustainable, and accessible for everyone. The knowledge shared through its workshops, guide, and online tools empowers tourism providers to make real changes that benefit both visitors and local communities.<\/span><\/p>
